Apr 17, 2015 · Any guns that would fit into the BUG category based on the requirements I listed and didn’t make it on the list is an oversight. However, any guns with barrels under 3.0″ I consider „mouse guns“ and not a serious IDPA sport gun for BUG.

Handguns used in the Revolver BUG category must use .38 Special or larger ammunition, have a maximum unloaded weight of 38 oz. (1.077 kg), have a maximum barrel length of 3.00 inches (7.62 cm), and must fit in the IDPA gun test box (see dimensions above).

Dec 13, 2016 · In true IDPA fashion, they had to make it „more like real life“ and disallow use of any guns that any body would use as a BUG in real life. Or, just disallow any BUG guns that are actually fun to shoot.
Set-Up: 2 IDPA, 1 barricade, 2 stands, 4 uprights. Start and finish line are 5 yards from respective targets and the barricade is 10 yards from the centerline between the two. Description: Load gun to BUG capacity. Start in front of T1.
